There are many reasons why people volunteer; the desire to help others, to make a difference, to strengthen your resume and to meet new people are just a few.
Whatever your reason for volunteering, here are a few places on campus with ongoing volunteer opportunities.
Alumni Relations
Our office occasionally requires volunteers to assist with one-time alumni events. If you cannot commit to a regular volunteer schedule, then this may be the opportunity for you. Please contact the Alumni Office at (403) 220-8500 or alumni@ucalgary.ca to add your name to our volunteer list and we will contact you as events come up.
Graduate Students' Association
The GSA is looking for alumni willing to work with students to learn business nuances and drivers, and hone the soft skills that will ultimately lead to their success in the working world. The time commitment is very manageableāa minimum of two face-to-face meetings, and then contact about once a month by phone and email. Help future alumni get started on the right track.
