Few people understand what university presidents do. To some, we are supposed to be the governor generals, the ceremonial heads, of the university. To others, we are the chief strategist, fundraiser, lobbyist, or talking head of the universities we are asked, and privileged, to lead. I hope this blog gives readers some sense of what university presidents (or, more accurately, this university president) does.
