As a core team within External Relations, Community Relations works to increase community engagement with the University of Calgary.

Community Relations strongly supports one of the University’s core principals, Return to Community — to identify and act on opportunities to engage and inform stakeholders of the tremendous impact the University of Calgary has on the economy and quality of life in Calgary, Alberta, nationally and internationally.

We actively seek out partnership opportunities with community organizations, government, not-for-profits and other educational institutions. We build on our existing relationships, create new associations and work to expand and highlight the University’s role in the community. One of the ways in which we do this is by creating engagement opportunities between the U of C and the external community to involve the community in the activities, dialogue and business of the U of C.
