Description

Journalist warns we are not getting the whole story

Reese Erlich, invited to Calgary as part of his North American book launch, will speak to Calgarians about his first-hand experience as a journalist covering events in Iran. Both his time in Iran and time spent at home in California covering U.S. foreign policies shaped his new book, The Iran Agenda, in which he argues the Bush administration made mistakes in Iraq that have implications for U.S. relations with Iran.

Sponsored by the Consortium for Peace Studies at the University of Calgary.Erlich reports regularly for NPR, CBC, ABC (Australia), and Radio Deutsche Welle; and his articles have appeared in many magazines and newspapers. The Iran Agenda: The Real Story of U.S. Policy and the Middle East Crisis was published in October 2007. Erlich also co-authored the book Target Iraq: What the News Media Didn’t Tell You with Norman Soloman (2003).
