AHFMR Connects Career Explorer

Have you ever wondered where your research training will lead in terms of a career? There are many ways to explore health research – hear practical advice from a range of successful health researchers each with a different story to tell.

AHFMR Connects Career Explorer will feature informal presentations and lots of time for questions and networking.

Presenters:

Mary Earle, former research scientist and current President, Earle & Associates.

Carolyn Emery, physiotherapist and assistant professor in the Faculties of Kinesiology and Medicine (Community Health Sciences), University of Calgary.

Samuel Weiss, professor in the Departments of Cell Biology and Anatomy and Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Calgary; Director of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute.

Patrick Whelan, neuroscientist with joint appointments to the Faculties of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary; co-leader of the Spinal Cord and Nerve Regeneration Group within the Hotchkiss Brain Institute.

Presented by the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. Runs until 1:15 p.m.
