Over the past ten years, Dr. Yessenova has been conducting research in Kazakhstan, one of the five post-Soviet Republics in Central Asia. Her past and ongoing research has centred on social and cultural outcomes of economic development, neoliberalism, and global involvement in this recently emerged resource-rich nation.
