The Faculty of Environmental Design Students Association's Student Research Conference is a student-generated and student-designed conference featuring leading edge student research from various environmental design disciplines including urban design, planning, industrial design, environmental science and architecture. The inaugural conference, "Behind the Orange Wall", plays on the Faculty of Environmental Design's famous orange wall, both celebrating EVDS work and demystifying it. All
presentations are held on the University of Calgary campus and are open to the public.

Alex Steffen has been the Executive Editor of Worldchanging since he co-founded the organization in 2003.
