Big Rock University is an annual lecture and dinner series that raises funds for eight U of C undergraduate scholarships.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Dan Mato back to Big Rock University for very special evening to celebrate our tenth anniversary.  A world expert on African art, Dan will explore how at the beginning of the 20th century Paris was poised for an artistic revolution.  What was it that turned the French Academy on its head, and created a whole new way of viewing the world?  What did Picasso see?  How was Modern Art conceived?  Dr. Mato will answer these and other questions in a fun and informative way.
