An Afternoon of Organ Music with Neil Cockburn

Description

This special  season opener Thanksgiving event of organ music is presented by Neil Cockburn, the Cantos  Music Foundation Organ Scholar at the University of Calgary and Head  of Organ Studies at Mount Royal College Organ Academy.

The program includes Concerto in a minor and Prelude and Fugue in G  Major by J.S. Bach and Magnificat by a German composer Jean-Adam  Guillain.

Installed in 2006, the Ronald B. Bond Bach Organ was designed and  constructed by the world-renowned German organ builder Jürgen Ahrend  Orgelbau. This organ is one of only four in North America designed by  the Ahrend workshop, and is the only instrument of its kind in Canada.
