A New World View for the U of C
At the
University of
Calgary , it is our mission to welcome the world's ideas to campus, and to share our ideas with the world. Since 2000, the number of international students at the U of C has grown from 876 to more than 1,900, and a wide array of scholars from across the globe impart their expertise through seminars, research collaboration and mentorship. While U of C's lecture halls, laboratories and libraries remain the cornerstones of post-secondary education, some of the best opportunities for international exchange, cooperation and friendship take place outside the classroom in the University's residences and cafeterias, along the hallways, on the field and at the bus stop. But only one in four of U of C's international students live on campus and visiting scholars are typically housed away from university life.
