The philosophy behind The Native Centre at the University of Calgary is to provide a culturally appropriate environment that encourages and supports the success of Aboriginal students in their pursuit of knowledge and higher education.

The Native Centre's programs include:
- Aboriginal Student Access (A.S.A.P.) Program
- Aboriginal LYNX Employment and Career Program
- Community Outreach Program
- Elders Cultural Program
- N.A.P.I. Ambassador Program
- Program Assisted Student Services (P.A.S.S.) Program
Services
We offer the following services:
- Ongoing academic advising
- Pre-admissions advising
- Financial advising and advocacy
- Tutorial and remedial services
- Cultural ceremonies and related activities
- Monthly social gatherings
Facilities
The Native Centre's facilities include:
- Computer Lab - 8 stations, 2 printers
- Group study/small boardroom - for groups of four or more
- Red Lodge Student Lounge - refrigerator, 2 microwaves
- Large Board Room
- Smudge/Ceremonial Room
We also house the First Nations Student Association (FNSA).
