Stephen Ames, Richard Zokol headline Dinos golf fundraiser

Media are invited to a special fund-raising event aimed at raising funds and awareness for the University of Calgary Dinos Golf Team. Fundraising is crucial for the Dinos who won the Alberta 2007 Provincial Championship, and are heading to the Canadian National Championships (May 26 to May 30) in Victoria, British Columbia.

The Dinos Today, Leaders Tomorrow fund will allow the team to travel to university tournaments and provide opportunities for player development and training during winter months.

[Update: Due to Stephen Ames’ strong play on the weekend the PGA has asked him to stay in Sawgrass for promotional reasons. He is therefore unable to attend today’s announcement. The rest of the event is going ahead as planned. Ames will show his support for the program with a donation to the ‘Dinos Today, Leaders Tomorrow’ Golf fund.]
