Dr. Donald Woods	$1.7-million grant to fight bioterrorism July 17, 2008 The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded the Faculty of Medicine's Donald Woods $1.7 million for research into vaccines against agents of bioterrorism.
Charlene Elliott	Kids food—is it good or bad? July 17, 2008 Nine out of 10 regular food items aimed specifically at children have a poor nutritional content—because of high levels of sugar, fat or sodium—according to a detailed study of 367 products led by Charlene Elliott, professor in the U of C’s Faculty of Communication and Culture, and published in the July issue of the UK-based journal Obesity Reviews.
Susan Skone	Stormchasers July 9, 2008 Susan Skone from the Schulich School of Engineering is part of a team of experts who have joined forces for a massive project called the Understanding Severe Thunderstorms and Alberta Boundary Layers Experiment (UNSTABLE).
