RCA students exhibit art

By Tokie Brideaux

The University of Calgary’s Department of Art is welcoming two students from the Royal College of Art (RCA), the world’s only wholly postgraduate university institution of art and design, located in London, England.

This year’s exchange students are Michael Hall (printmaking) and Frances Greenough (painting). The two students will create art works, interact with students and faculty, and present an exhibition in the Little Gallery.

As part of the Tim Mara exchange, two U of C students—Marnie Fallon and Lisa Borin—will study in London for six weeks.

“This is our 17th year with this exchange program with RCA,” says Bill Laing, professor of drawing at the U of C, who received his MA from the RCA in 1974. “We are pleased to provide this experience for both the RCA and U of C students.”

The exhibition by Hall and Greenough will take place Feb. 25– 29 in the Little Gallery (6th floor, Art Building). Opening reception is on Feb. 25 from 4 to 6 p.m.
