Research Services provides advice and assistance with sponsored research, grants and contracts for research and scholarly activities, help on University policy, procedures and requirements.
Research Services plays a major role in enabling the University to reach its research goals. Services include:
- New Initiatives - helping researchers develop major, multi-institutional collaborative research initiatives, cultivating funding and developing strategic grant proposals
- Intellectual Property Management - Research Services negotiates and administers contracts for research, which often includes Technology Transfer
- Funding - Research Services offers assistance with various funding sources - Grants, awards, professorships, and partnerships
- Compliance - Research at the University is governed by various policies and many initiatives require ethics clearances or other certifications.
- Research Accounting -Post-award financial administration of all University of Calgary sponsored research and restricted funding.
